Spent are the days

When words came easily.

Lost are the times

When I've searched for more.

A peephole in a fence

Is about what you'd see in my head.

Oh, the thought of losing the gift

Of words so easily read.

I, the weaver of thoughts,

When days I was blessed

With a bounty of words.

Now the struggle begins.

Keep on writing, George! Sometimes I need to take breaks to allow my muse to rest at times.

Love ya!

You seem to be doing alright. There are some college kids that really don't have a CLUE about how to write. Right?

Words do come slower as we grow older, but our thoughts flow as swiftly. Sometimes, I feel that my mind just can't keep up with the rapid pace of my thoughts. So, maybe we have too many ideas rattling around in our brains.
