War has no ending For those who survive it. It leaves endless thoughts Of what you have seen and done. Ask any vet when did the war end? He will have a puzzled look And just say, has it ended? No, the mental scars are too deep. How many soldiers died civialians After they were discharged. Some committed suicide, Others just went mad.

They described my uncle who served as a medic in World War I as being, �shellshocked.� And two of my uncles who served in World War II never recovered when they returned to broken families and broken dreams.

You're right. For those in the trenches. Few can escape what they saw or did.

Good poem to remind us all about war. What is it good for? If only the N Korean politicians had a taste, they would not spend their money on rockets that go nowhere and no place.

If only mankind could learn. This poem cuts cuts right through the bs, and gets to the point. War is a never ending hell for those who serve. Well done, and well said.
