If I had a dollar
For every stray thought
That has passed through my mind,
I would be a rich fellow.
Seldom do I gather them up
And put them to print.
That takes some effort,
Which I lack most of the time.
O let the wisdom of my years,
Embrace my feeble mind.
Let it no longer hold fast,
To the gold mine in my thoughts.
