As Limber As A Cat
Ahh, but to be as limber as a cat
Stretching and clawing
Chewing and gnawing
Basking in the sun
Or beneath shady awnings
Lurking and slinking
Patient for hours
Just waiting, and watching
The mouse or a flower
Ahh, but to be as quick as a cat
Miraculously fast
Playfully splash
They never fall in
When cats bat at the bath.
Chasing and skidding
On carpets and floors
Sliding and diving
Yet relentlessly bored.
Ahh, but to be as limber as a cat
My back wouldn’t hurt
My neck I could turn
Paint my toes just for fun
With ne’re a concern.
