Attraction
In bed I sit and ponder
For this Saturday’s arrival
Seven days are much too long
It seems, for romance and survival.
The daily correspondence
A phone call here and there
Communication, instigation
I warn my heart beware.
Tomorrow night to our delight
The moon the fullest yet
Unravels still another part
As our fifth date will transcend.
To move beyond and out and in
Explore the depths and settle in
Converse a course of consequence
And know that love begins
With chance meetings not intended
Not rehearsed or early ended
But with open hearts and hopes and sparks
Attraction’s law defended.
