I'm Just Pretending
My vision of life
I do not see clear
I tend to see more
Than what’s really there.
Though I melt like the snow
With love rarely shared
Disappear like the wind
After all that I’ve bared.
Succinctly sink softly
Moods misunderstood
Into bliss and pine needles
And the snow laden woods.
I can’t wallow much smaller
Than drops of a tear
The dew and the splash
When the elements shear
On rocks and ravines
The smoothness it brings
Leftover to cover
The singing of spring.
I’m lost in it’s realm
This world not of me
Forever a winter
Frost and shiver so be.
Invisible, I try
To stay out of the way
The voice in the night
Or day, pray that I may
Be called to surmise
A specific demise
And cause the effect
Of my long endless cries.
But I’m just pretending.
I’m just pretending to be sad.
