Hands tired and old pray to God

altars bend under the load of sacrifice

this was just another in the many offered

Father understand me I am tired

please bring me home



From knees laid to the marble of the church

he rises to greet the job of everyday

makes one from another and creates the lie

face holds firm and the images glow in plain

example purpose seen and heard as he leaves



Hope left at the altar turns the heal of faith

angel follows with a candle lit to show love

the Father guides the step and purpose is now

linger in the moment of living one more day



Lives burned on the edge see the straight and narrow

Tired he walks tall in the eyes of all he touches

from him come the direction to make it from past to present

His son prays Lord do not take him I need him for awhile



Angels sing in the wind and a image carries him for his day is yet to come
