Don’t
Lie and tell me you love me
Wallow in your own self-righteous pity
And attempt to suck me in and suffocate all we had

Breathe
And fill yourself with arrogance
And cry until you’re drained again
I won’t be the one to help lift you up
I’ll be the one just walking away

Until
Such time as I think you fitting
I’ll leave you to your own hellish demons
Sinking so slowly an inch at a time
Till you’re all but a memory

I
Am not going to sacrifice my soul
Burn what bridges you think you must
Tear down walls and knock the doors over
But don’t expect me to hand you the key

Tell
Me what it is that you hope to accomplish
In rage don’t you dare point the finger
Blaming your issues on bottles and pictures
When the cause is written on your face

You
Aren’t who I remember
You’re some deranged image of another
The mirror is cracking and flaking away
I’m not sticking around to hear what you have to say

To
Stop the oncoming cataclysms
To cease to be who I am
And holding my hand over your lips
Just do everything that I say

Or
Retribution doesn’t come in small quantities
Redemption is never served for free
Quality in character is wholly disregarded
When you arrive at your final destination

I’ll
Still be here watching
Your paling corpse rot away
And still you’ll have that grin on your lips
Till I take the time to wipe it off

Kill
The emotions that gather within
Fulfill your false destiny
Screaming the names of those you don’t know
And stand naked out in the rain

You
Wish for some other answer
Longing for someone to whisper
That all the reasons are clear
And tomorrow you’ll be going home

Myself
Is all I can be today
And he has his arms around your neck
And in just a few moments the pain will subside
And you’ll be free to go

Scary and beautiful. Interesting acrostic. You don't, by
chance, own a gun, do you? ;-)
