Thought I , everyone burns from the inside with

their time and yearns to expose their fire to the world.

Now do you see the flame in me attempting to set the world a blaze?

Oh, Prometheus, Prometheus  what have you done bringing fire to everyone?! For this gift the gods have punished but, I could not live without the light and heat. I would burn continuously with what I have in me. I would burn to ash. For such a fate no one asks. No one deserves to burn.

Perhaps I am not such a simple girl.My desires run too deep and fire is brought to me in dreams.

Is it such an unorthadox thing to want fire that is always burning, to feel constant yearning and light up the world with your flame?! Is it strange?

Why can't one want more than what she is told she can have? Why should I settle for a meager match? Give me a torch, a bolt of lightening, something amazing. But I am full of light and flame and assure you perfectly sane.

This is who I was always meant to be. This is me.

Whether you dance around the fire or allow it to distort your face, to recognize a life is no disgrace. To celebrate ones time is no sin. To recognize my time you don't need to forgive. I have never asked for it.

Now you look confused but, let me say everything is true . There is nothing wrong with me which a fire can't burn away. There is nothing it can't illuminate.

And it must be so that destiny waits and waits and lives within, calling us all to go and live. It  is a different event to have someone witness it. It is different again to have it recognized.

If no one saw Christe do it would he still have turned water into wine? Would the world still know his name? Would the miracle be the same?

I have been on fire since I was born. It is just a fact. You may say I must wait my turn but, I know it wont stop the burn.

This fires blaze is that of fate and the island is my heart. You may try but, eventually you'll find this fire and I can't be torn apart.

I gather the fire you speak of is your passion. It burns very brightly.

The fire that burns within is different for each of us.
But burn it must, and it refused to be extinguished.
Yours is a strong message about the fire of life. And so well said.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
