Someone creates while another destroys.

We all grow up and age while still playing

with toys.

We're emerged in darkness and reach for the

light.

Would we ever know the difference?

Forget the wars of the world.

We are in a battle with ourselves.

It's a battle we want to deny.

One we can not win sometimes, yet

we try .

We can appear different at

different times.

Others cannot reconcile with the

juxtaposition of human nature.

How do I answer the question of

who I am?

How do I explain the why?

Duality is to juggle the many sides of

I.

I am never just one thing.

I am a woman, yes. But I am not the blame.

I am a human being whom dances with change,

while watching the world around me become

chaotic as it is rearranged.

I have witnessed destruction and death,

hope and hopelessness, someone turning

a blind eye to another in distress while across

the street one other human being holds out his

hand to someone in need and cries.

For he is in pain as well.

Forget hell. There is enough suffering

in the world to suffice the devil whom

likes to come invade our world and play

with our pain.

I  am doing battle enough with

myself and do not need anyone's

help with it.

You have demanded of me to

accept the sides of myself you deem as

right and reject the rest.

You say to obtain your love this is what

I must do.

But, this is not really true .

Because I am also a woman,

you have imagined me power.

You have imagined and envied it,

coveted it.

You want what you have imagined

me with.

You ignore the same exist within you.

You have the power to create and destroy

too.

Coldness and compassion exist

side by side.

It can be faceless without label or

gender. It can be nameless and still

can exist.

We tear our world apart as we do

ourselves and one another.

The dance of duality can never be

perfected.

Our world , our faces, everything changes.

And this is why sometimes we

reject it.

Duality is one of the most powerful

forces only second to love.

No one can claim  to be just one thing.

As we recognize our different sides,

the perception of self has changed.

I like that you wrote, "Forget hell." The only way we can conjure up hell is from our own experience. We all experience shades of heaven and hell. It's all how we look at it that makes all the difference.

Thanks for pointing that out to us…

No one is ever one dimensional. A wise poem.
