Last night my tears just kept

falling from my eyes.

I may never know the reason why.

They may represent all the hope

I have for my life or

all the times I believed someones

lies.

And they kept coming until I

finally was asleep, hoping when

I awoke in the morning I would

all but forget them.

I can't help it.

I may never know why they come

but, when they go I remember

they were there.

It could be every tear I cry is a prayer

or a piece of my broken heart and

dreams.

They could be a manifestation

of all the pain I could never find

the words for, answers to prayers

I never heard or visions of a world

cured of fear and hatred.

All along I'm holding onto hope with

all I have and all I am.

I'm hoping at the end of everything

the world becomes a better place and

not another person is lost.

Most of all, love is not forgotten,

peace is still valued and differences are

revered and not feared.

Until that day my tears wont completely

go away.

Even if I have to shed them when no one

is looking and I am alone I can't help it.

I'm going to cry and my tears will turn into

my love and my prayers.

Someone up in heaven may care.

Tears certainly do come to us when we have that emotion. An emotion that may be hard to describe in words, but certainly knows how to show itself when we fear the worst. Well expressed.
