This is more than just four walls,

a roof and a door.

This is more than just a building.

This is my home.

So , why can't I live here?

This is my home.

So, why can't I be free?

No fear, no germ can turn

my home into a prison.

No person, no rule

has the right to try to

control me.

To this day I have done

everything to try to

obey every rule, meet

every expectation thrown

at me.

But I can't keep up with it

anymore.

I can't meet every expectation

as I've tried to do before.

It's impossible and it is

still my home.

How many times must I

remind someone this is

my home?

And I want to feel at home.

I shouldn't have to feel afraid

sometimes to speak or even breathe,

to loosen these restraints which were

placed on me for so long.

Haven't I earned my freedom by now?

Haven't I deserved freedom?

Is simply to be wrong?

Let me claim once again this is my

home.

Don't take it away.

Don't turn it into some place

I and no one else cannot live in.

Don't make it an excuse to try

to control me.

I've done everything I was

supposed to.

But , I see no reason to

anymore when my incentive

has been taken away.

This is more than a place,

a building or a piece of

architecture.

It's more than a shape,

an object or geography.

This is my home.

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
