Don't send me an E if you please.

Don't even sneeze and look at me.

I don't want to hear a sound, not a

word from you.

So , don't talk to me, don't sing,

don't chant, chat or even say hello.

Something about you is threatening.

You can't see my boundaries. So you

always step on them.

Your intentions may be good but,

you I don't really know .

I can't really be sure your smile doesn't

have malice hiding behind it.

And it leaves me in doubt.

It's your fault not mine

we aren't really aligned.

Your vision must be crooked

when we don't see eye to eye.

And I will block every attempt

of you figuring out why.

So don't E , sneeze, ask why or how come.

One word and I'll flea, I'll skudoodle and run.

Who cares if you want to mention something

just in fun?

I don't and that door I will c lose don't you know.

I'll close it so hard and shut it on your nose.

Though I know you wont like the wall I built up,

nor after all the time you've spent how I simply

cannot trust.

Somewhere inside I know you are not a threat.

I can comprehend and realize a threat you are not.

But, my fear gets in the way making me forget.

A friend mentioning something to me is not an enemy

to me. And at times I don't really need to be so rigid

with my boundaries.

That first stanza is great; full of energy, spitfire, blurty truth. It could stand alone even, and pack the punch the whole poem delivers. I like how natural and free you write of emotion. Today I read your poem “Pass it On,” about being glad to be alive. That was encouraging, and I’m glad you have that yin for the yang of this one. I call it the slap/kiss of life. Can’t have one without the other. You write courageously. ~~ djl

Painful to read. Describing what it must be like to be fearful of one that may have been loved but found out to be poisonous to a relationship.
