We are lost, we
are tossed
from the four corners of
The earth to
the four corners of
our rooms;
we are falling
we are failing,
flailing madly as we
tumble through
the rabbit holes of our dreams
We fall defenceless
while our fences
are ripped down
by apocalyptic winds;
while celebrities
on TV tell us
be positive
stay positive
(God we hope
we don’t test positive)
and everything will work out
if we do a daily workout
We are legion
not contagion
we are sentient
beings of light;
we are heartbeating
quivering
yet stupidly brave
heroes and heroines
of the movies of our lives;
we are sane and insanity
clean, not insanitary
we are humanity
we are f***ed.
