God gave moms the strongest heart to carry the heavy loads she must bear
There was a heart so big and strong
It stood the test for way too long
Somewhere in the scheme of life
The heart belonged to someone's wife
Now divided it cares for two
It cared for both, her and you
Soon came the children, there were four
And the heart divided, even more
It stayed strong though times were hard
It did not break, but it was scarred
And when it bore the burden alone
It held strong until the children left home
Times then changed and strength did fade
From this special heart that only God made
The hurt of the children was a heavy load
Going down such different roads
Without much to give but support was there
If needed there was a heart that cared
When that final day finally comes
Remember the heart that belongs to your MOM
