when you stop at a red light do you notice those passing by?
When you drive down the street and stop at the red light
Do you notice the folks in the vehicles to the right
They have been waiting for you to slow down
So they can hurry on to the stores downtown
Look at their faces and what do you see
Are they happy or sad or lost in a memory
Do they look straight ahead on a mission to shop
Just where are they headed and when will they stop
Some might be headed to work for the day
Others just going their own special way
Do you ever wonder if they watch and see you
Wondering where you go as you drive out of view
Just a way to pass time as you wait for the light
To turn green, hit the gas and leave their sight
I wonder why some people are so fixated and unfriendly, and simply stare ahead; and refuse to stop and play Monopoly, with the windows down, while waiting for the infernal light to change.
This is a great observation awareness poem. The periscope goes up at the red light. All eyes on deck. One mistake could change a life. We have an awesome responsibility and lives are at stake. Then again it's fun to people watch. I sometimes check out the sports cars. Life at the light can be interesting. Happy driving! LOL

I do notice those guys in the medians asking for money for food. I understand that some of them are quite slick and make a good living faking it.
