A TRIBUTE FROM THE HEART
There aren't enough flowers that one could buy
Or enough tears that have fallen from our swollen eyes
To remember the ones lost in battle and life
Our sons, our daughters, our husbands and wives
The families who suffered their loss in a crowd
Or those alone who cried out loud
It's hard to remember the good times in this land
When so many have passed when they took a stand
For freedoms not given but earned with the loss
Of the loved ones we cherish, what a priceless cost
This special day to remember those at rest
A memorial in our hearts for they were the best.

Your poem comes from your heart and your experience.
As for the formatting. Try some things. The AD editor does not like some Microsoft Word formatting. When you paste in your poem, try turning off the editor (there is a link in the center for doing that). If that doesn't work, try saving your poem not as a document (.doc) but by using Save As, and save it as text (.txt) or rich text format (.rtf). The AD editor should except those formats without messing with them.
Sorry Jerry, I did not write it as a paragraph but it posted that way. I am not great with this computer, I copied the poem a I wrte it but when I pasted it , then it became a paragraph. I will work on that Thanks.
I usually don't comment on paragraphs being presented as a poem. But I have to this one because your words are so profound in their summery of the loss of our veterans.
