Christmas 2015
LOST CAN BE FOUND
Christmas isn't the same as it was way back when
Life got a little tough just now and then...
But maybe because the world has lost it's way
We are experiencing tragedies almost everyday
I wonder if success and greed took over our lives
We forgot about true happiness for husband and wives
And children no longer play games with silly names
Without their phones and electronic games
We worry to much about what others possess
And try to keep up with all the rest
Folks used to take pride in the trade that they learned
And were proud to exist with just the money they earned
Hopefully we come and realize what is missing
It could as simple as hugging and kissing
And loving each other for who they are
Thanking God for his love from way afar.
Harking back to the way it was back in those good old days. My father was a trucker who made very good money but was never satisfied with the money or his job. Still, she had to work as a cleaning lady to earn enough for getting us some meager Christmas presents.
Overhanging it all was the threat of impending nuclear war.
