Where Did It Go?

Climb on my back, try not to make a sound,
Take the strength you lack, forget the miles,
I’ll carry you, make you feel like new.
What does it mean to me?

Where did my trust go, was it traded fair?
As long as you all know, should I even care?

Take a look around, all I ever see
Are high-fashion styles, razor wire smiles,
Goodbyes from concentration camp eyes…
When did you become me?

Where did my childhood go, was it that fair?
As long as the world knows, do I really care?

Caught between a rock,
A shallow, empty hole…
Struggle to get by, all I get are stares,
Fallen old signpost on some dusty back hill road…
They say time is a clock
If I will forfeit my soul.
Confess, crawling on my knees, should I dare…
Drop the weight from my shoulders, lighten up my load.

So where’s all my meaning, what’s it to you?
Does it really matter where I’ve been?
Don’t even know if you’ve seen how I’ve sinned…
Where did my childhood go, was it really fair?
As long as you all know, should I even care?
Who gave you the right to judge me?

The question of fairness in the last stanza sums up the piece. No one has the right to judge another, but few things, if any, are fair.

I agree that there is none that should judge but they do without realizing what it does.
