as i set and think of the world

as i sit and think of the world, i see all it's troubles,
it's wars and violence, that has happened,
the world tries to keep it's secrets, locked away,
and the people think that's where they'll stay.
everyone acts like it hasn't happened,
the guns blazing and the fires crackling,
the world is such a crazy place,
some people don't even know their own face,
i wonder why people act this way,
the things they do and the games they play.
people need to learn to change thier ways,
and stop treating theor lives like a crazy place director's play,
why do they do the things they do,
not organizing things and making thiers curfew,
as you can see the world's a crazy place,
so do like i do and learn your own face,
all these are things that i think about,
every single day when i am out,
so as you can see it's strangee to me,
as i sit and think of the world and all the things that it could be.

writing in 1999 by my daughter alexis.
