My guardian Angel
My guardian angel has stinky breath and a wet nose
He keeps me safe and sometimes steals my clothes
He is covered in fur that is black as night
My guardian angel protects me with all of his might
We met in the most strangest of ways
He had just arrived from a place far away
I was there to meet him and help him settle in
He was the happiest creature I have ever seen I swear he could grin
When Katrina came so many pets were scattered round,
Most of their desperate owners, their beloved pets never found
My guardian angel was the smallest in the litter,
To him the other siblings were really quite bitter
It was love at first lick my guardian angel and I
The next thing I know he is medically released and officially mine
We bonded immediately and other dog owners take notice
We are connected at the heart and mind and this will never be broken
He is such a very special creature to me, my guardian angel is also the reason I live
That special nose of his helps me stay away from those deadly allergens
They make me stop breathing and I can feel each breath slowly leaving, if it wasn’t for him
He is more than just a super sniffer to me; he is also an important member of my family
He was born to comfort anyone he meets and will do his best to help those in need
Dedicated to My Service Dog
