My beautiful Nanny

You stuck your tongue out at me today,

And you giggled a little

When I asked you to come out and play

Your speech is a lot better than it was before,

When you came in on Monday,

I didn’t think you would walk out that door

At first we thought you had suffered a stroke,

But after many tests we all know that was all just a bad joke.

You are feeding yourself and putting your drink up on the shelf

I am so glad you are communicating with me once again,

My nanny is back I have re-found my best friend

You are doing excellent walking around

And that frown on your face has turned upside down

You concentrate on each step 1, 2, 3…

You walk with your bunny just like you used to walk with me

I have been coming to visit with you every day,

That smile once lost is now here to stay.

I couldn’t stand to think I would have my nanny no longer,

But then day by day you started to get stronger

I finally got you to make funny faces

And you are now putting everyone back into their places

You just called Patty a pain in the ass

And David a douche bag like you did in the past.

Your unique personality is finally coming back out,

I knew the old nanny was in there no doubt

You are such a very special person to me,

Oh how I love it just my nanny and me.

You have known all along but I will remind you once again,

For in my heart you will always be…
