I wrote this after my nana passed away

May the angels watch me through the night and guide me to the blessed light ~ Amen~

Nana

My life has been touched by an angel in disguise,

She has been holding my strength and made me realize

My divine purpose, her surprising secret plan, for me to stay strong and focused, when no one else feels they can

My blessed angel beautiful and pure, so grateful to the lord the day I was born,

Living life buy her strong intuition and so willing to accept me as her next big mission

Always making a big impression, silently cheering me on as I go through life’s each important lesson

And forever sending me her prayers and her blessing

Supporting me through my struggles and holding my hand

As I go through my journey here upon this land.

Never mentioning my flaws and never stopping to pause

Never judging me for my past and giving me extra energy when I need to last

Such special gifts were passed from her to me, although these gifts I cannot see

Gently guiding me to confide in the lord during my sorrows,

Helping me heal and sharing her will to get through just a few more tomorrows

My guardian angel is so very wise and when she is ready she will finally fly

To the heavens way above, never stopping the flow of her deeply cherished love

She will be with me forever more, right by my side and she will help me continue to soar

I made her a promise, as I gazed into those brilliant blue eyes,

To always be there for her girls and her Ronnie’s even if problems should arise

Now she can focus on the beginning of her exciting new journey, and be confident that she really truly doesn’t have to worry

Although her time on this earth will come to an end, she has given me strength to keep it together and help us all mend

As my beautiful angel lays her body to rest, she is going to put me to the biggest test

though I tried several times to rush through the gates in the sky, I give her my word and she looked at me with pride, I will stay here on this earth until I am given my own wings to fly

My special Angel is actually my nana you see, and I am so truly grateful that the lord made me part of her and her part of me.

I was cursed with my Nana’s big heart and will give and give but not fall apart.

So when I get finished with this one life lesson I will march forth and leave my own impression…

To my nana with love forever and always
