The meaning in life...changes throughout life.

Poem Artwork

Life’s meaning seems such mystery,
That it may never be explained
By any profound philosophy.
Its elusiveness will so remain.

It's as unique to each of us
As the helix of our natures be,
The complexity of our being is thus,
The mixture of all our ancestry.

And who we are becomes the sum
Of each thought and life experience,
While we live from sun to sun
Searching for our own significance.

But as life proceeds its meaning evolves
Through time, chance, and divinity,
So it must each day be resolved
From our birth, to our mortality.

if life evolves through time, chance and divinity then perhaps there's more to it than just a path to our mortality ...

It is inherently human to muse about life and it's ultimate meaning...
As each little gem of understanding comes forth, there is a thrill of getting nearer to that mountain's summit....

So many seem to dwell on the "why?" Except perhaps those who have "faith." They already know why. I prefer to spend my life on the "what." I revel in learning about new discoveries all the time from both archaeology and anthropology about prehuman and human discoveries that tell us a lot about ourselves… The what that may give clues to the why. My delight in these new discoveries is endless. To spend too much time on the why tends to result in circular thinking. Which came first, the chicken or the egg.

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
