MY EYES SEE

My eyes see the light beyond

where humans hurry to and fro.

My eyes see the darkness inside

where humans have no pride.

They fight and attack each other

with no regard for their species.

They rant and rave over their passions

with little concern for the welfare of others.

My eyes see the good and the bad,

leaving me all too sad.

Meow.

Perhaps cats are wiser than we. But according to a psychologist who studied cats' nighttime behavior in an attic at the University of Wisconsin and my listening to my neighbors' cats fight, cats have a sex life that would be the envy of a porn star and their fights are very nasty, loud and to the death just like some humans like to behave.

There are two kinds of people in this world, the builders and the abusers. Let's hope that the builder people are more common than abusers.

Often times I have wondered what could be going on behind those crafty eyes. You gave me a partial answer, but there is more, so much more.

Two of those precious little creatures roam our premises with regal abandon. And both are much wiser than me.

It seems that human nature needs to express itself as it is and as you have rightly pointed out in this poem. Ruff, Ruff.
