According to a learned panel of psychologists, creativity is the highest form of expression. First, we must analyze, then synthesize, and then evaluate. Only after all that can we stir up these contents and come up with something new. Don't sell yourself short. Creativity is for the few, the proud, the gifted.
Reads like it comes from a frustrated artist. The only way to know is to act, review, learn, and act again, and again. Until perfection shines through. Creation starts now… Not later.
Not only did you express yourself very well in this poem, you gave all of us something we can identify with. That last line says it all, "I want to create" and "we all" want to create.
My creative method is simple. I read other poems on the den and think about what they say to me. Then I express what I just read in my OWN words and from my own personal experiences. Expressions are so different. We all have slightly different perceptions. perspectives and have a wide variety of contrasting points of view. No two are alike. Still, some things bond us together.
My next poem will be about Halloween candy. Where did I get that idea from? I got it from Jane who wrote about her love for chocolate. I thought that just about everyone can identify with eating and giving away Halloween candy so why not write about it? That should be creative and FUN to write!
