looks like brimstone red
and fyres galore
and naked doxies
and avaiable whores
for fun and free...
suits me
and plenty grog
for the swilling...
swaying am I
‘mongst depravity thrilling,
defacing restless graves
broadsword brave
where the hell am I..?
no sunrise breaks upon my face
no moon glitters between
scudding clouds
on a summer-lovely night..
no tinkling laughter from a maid
running sweetly to
her loves embrace...
Where am I..?
lyfes mortal sins
medal wins
glory reigns
for a short tale-tell
forever claimed
in a soldiers hell...

This is great- I love your poetry. Makes me feel like I am reading some of the best war poets, like my fave, Wilfred Owen. Excellent work and such a breath of fresh air, not enough poetry like this around.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
