Troubled Eyes

Languish in the warmth of my heart


If only in a passing dream.


Yes there is room for you here


Though you may not see it.


Behind the silence of my


Troubled eyes, I await your


Arrival, ever watchful for


A smile meant only for me,


I drift upon the still waters of your


Reflection, guided by the scent


Of your perfume, a memory


That still haunts me like the


Tickings of a broken clock


 


Or the lingering thought of


Something I thought left behind.


I shall wait for you here


Though you may not know it.


In this chamber of solitude, I


Abide and take comfort in the


Assurance that we are friends.


But forgive me if I dream of


Your long dark hair framed


In moonlight, or the feel of


Softly parted lips pressed


Against mine, heart waiting


To be filled as I carry this image


Down


Beyond


The


Fringes


Of


My


soul…
