......

Dance for me here, within my secret heart

That I may never forget you, as if I ever

Could, a dance of memories across a shore

Of possibilities, the two converging in lucid

Synchronicity to form a dream that I may

Wish upon, my shooting star on sleepless

Nights, endless nights spent adrift on a bed

Of solitude, I close my eyes and you are there

To light my way, strengthening my self worth

By lowering my defenses if only to let you in

And I wonder if a time will ever come when

You understand how very deep your light burns

At the center of who I am, how its warmth flows

Behind this wall of silence, a silence not of fear

But of necessity, should that wall start to crumble

And I lay ruin to the very thing that I would save

By showing you what you do not want to see, a

Secret dance composed around three forbidden

Words, knowing to be grateful for what we are

Not always enough, as night follows day and

Time seems to mock my endeavors to hide a

Dance that has grown in its complexity, but

I will continue to cherish its movements and

Continue to hope that soon I will dance there too…

"Dance that has grown in its complexity" ... the key to the poem ... sometimes our dance lessons have to go step by step ...

I read this a couple of times, and came away with different thoughts... and I bet if I read it a few more times, I'd leave with more thoughts...

What I leave with is a well written poem,"You understand how very deep your light burns, At the center of who I am, how its warmth flows
Behind this wall of silence, a silence not of fear. But of necessity, should that wall start to crumble"

With three words, to your Higher Power, the light will shine in, the walls will crumble and surrender to His will...

AWESOME!! This has just about stunned me into silence and, guess what... WISH I WROTE IT!! Zing-factor, je ne sais quoi, that "certain something" - it's just got it in bucket-loads, enigmatic as the innumerable angels that dance on a pin-head (is that an Englishicm?!) "... showing you what you do not want to see, a Secret dance composed around three forbidden Words, knowing to be grateful for what we are Not always enough" : the dance of life and death expressed!! So bittersweet! Keeping for sure. TY Kate xx

Aspiring, inspiring and declaring, "Secret Dance" completes its circle, and its verselines sing the poetic-romantic song. This poem
shows that its poemization comes from a long accumulation of emotions.

An enjoyable reading... "Secret Dance" offers to all. It is a true
masterpiece.
