See my gifted reach
my infinite stretch to ever-hood ...

In the friction of life, I am
made coarse and soft, shining
and dulled as the sands of time
shift frequently ...

I put my hand on a window ...
looking through I see life calling--
staring back into my weary
eyes glossing over with age--what ...
can I leave here that is worth recalling
to you ...

I'll try to contain my rubbed heart
in a dazzling box with grand attendance,
my warming thoughts of how we were good ...
with one another--even if it were only a time
or two for us ... my soul in there
for you ...

Therein too, my love of everything
I know to be great in life ...

When my curtains close, I hope to offer
and I hope you will receive me well
as though I will be contained therein ...

"Will I, will you" (altered/rough)





A hand of leaf and fruit
bears its final comprise of hope

Fruit has bruised skin yet
still succulent and malleable
good or bad, the airs will change
its shapes forever

Touching a translucent barrier
this plate cannot stop life
no, it cannot hide me
I grow old and lose sight of life
dry swallows ... make me
wish you better ....

Little happiness I'll capture
an elusive bird requires peaking focus
remember our days of laughter ... when we
finally understood each other ...
I will put those in my hope and
hope them into your heart like food

Along with my most defined happiness--
times I laughed and had no worries

Before I go, take this, because
I believe you will hold our chances close

always ....
