I just caught myself falling to sleep!
Sleep....
I don't think I will ever wake up
The birds outside are loud and screeching, to me
Nevertheless, no way they are going to rob me this time
I roll over, softly...as a cook rolls an omelet...with finesse...
Damned if I wake up, now, after getting all the way to this point!
Ummmn....
sleeeeeep...
Dreaming, and...Stuff
Bumps in the night...an stuff
Ummmmn.....sgguuugh!
Wha' th-a-a’...?!....sgguuugh!
'tha’ hell does that mean?!
Whatever....
OooYah....sgguuugh....
Dreaming and stuff—What?! Yeah—again!
Breathing and stuff....
Man, this is the best dream....
I can see forever when I sleep...complete darkness and stuff...?
> Ummmn! Ummmn!)
Now that was worth paying attention to...?!...
What?
> You sleep as though you do not have an ending...
Can you wake up for a while...
I was just thinking...while you slept...
What if I could no longer talk with you like we do...
And...when it starts to be cold or hot weather...
Where would I be then...without you...
As the moon excites more in night...
Who's hazy reflection will be on the frost bitten glass...
As I wipe the frost away...
Will it not be you...
How will I have life...You have been everything for me, as a friend...
You are the only one who has ever proven love, and eternity to me...
Always am I happy to see your face...Always....
How will I eat when your spirit and your presence turn life food for me...
And good drink....
What will my child's name be...
If you were gone, and sense I will have missed you...I would...
Give them your name too...
I just wanted to say...
I love you....)

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
