When you curl your toes
I am so amazed and pushed
Your soft skin—it makes me nervous
I don’t want to break you, so
I touch you slowly—only … slipping
Across the fine hairs, and my eyes look
Serenely over you—you are breathing
Breathing without thought, as though asleep
Touching my heart—your seraphim gazes
Peel this crust of humanity away—my spirit
Is made naked and you see how I love you
No words … the silence is thick—laying you
Down, my precious love, on the layers of heart
Expressions—pumped full with mystical arrays
No questions can be answered, so
None are asked—shush … not tolerated
We love in freedom of dreams and sleep
