“sleep with me”

In warm, cozy,
prolific, groves, I'll go—
I am—I will—pick it… each—
like pitted peach, I'll press your
sinews against me—wash in
your ambrosial nectar

> on the eyes of God, only)

supernal flourish
on beds, flowers seek
Sun's permeating beams,
they cup their silken skin,
beg their absorbing leaves
to focus, and, too,
like me, they lean
for the love
'til they
exhaust and lay,
soft, asleep ...

A beautiful allegory in a poem. I will not sleep with the fishes, but I will sleep with the Peachtree leaves in autumn. Sated and sweet like nectar.

Aside from the axiomatic sexual undercurrents; I generalize (in the subtext) a kind of community fancied; creative independent souls interacting with one another honestly and respectfully. A psychologically friendly, informal, intimate, responsive, intellectually productive place where a creative soul can be themselves, share, grow, and be accepted despite differences. That's what I see. But what do I know; I saw another inter-dimensional craft this week. Enjoyed this. r

There is an Emily Dickinson quality to the punctuation in this. She was very unique in that regard . And true to your style- this has texture and feel to it, a natural sense. It has contrast. The word supernal , well there could be no other word in that particular spot. And this is my first reading...will sleep on these thoughts...

Whoa! Sensual to the nth, but without the gritty stuff. It is very satisfying to read something this profound and with a hearty dash of class.

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
