A special written poem especially for my book, Just A Little Love

You never dreamed that you would come
To the land of the Midnight Sun.
Life in tatters and running from
A love that went all wrong.

You told yourself to get away
Let the chips fall fall where they may
Find some perfect place to stay...
And start all over again.

Didn't leave home to find love new
Didn't even have a clue
That I would fall so hard for you... And that you would grow to love me
too.

Sometimes love begins a friend
Someone of whom you can depend
Someone who has the touch to heal and mend...
A heart that once was shattered.

I know, I know God so high above
Gave the two of us a little shove
To have at long last...just a little love.

You are my dream that has come true
And I believe with all my heart
That forever it shall be me with you.
