For my sister Josephine in Australia 🇦🇺,I got the inspiration for this from an email, and from a walk I had this Friday afternoon through Port Wentworth.

Dear sister, I know that distance, but no more keeps us apart
But know of truth I walk with you and take you in my heart.
For you have been most kind to me unlike any other.
And I’m so proud to call myself indeed and yes your brother.
For I have told you secrets that to my blood sister I’d never tell.
For you have stood by me when I have gone through hell.
And though my eyes are damaged and cannot hardly see.
I know dear sister Josephine you truly walk with me.
And yes I know your homeland is going through the fire,
I hope this little poem does serve indeed and yes to inspire
