Uncertain Times

I want a little stability in my life,
I’m getting older and want the world to stop spinning
Will it stop for me?
No, it will not.

I need to feel that I am safe in my life,
I’m getting worried filled and need a little comfort.
Will I be comforted?
Maybe I will not be.

I want to have happiness in my life again.
My days are filled with sadness and pale gray skies.
Will joy ever come to me?
I really don’t know.

Uncertain times are these,
Times that leave you grasping for a stronghold,
Times that feel cold and chilling,
Times that make the world seem dark and dim.

Times will and always change.
Gray skies never last forever.
The world does keep spinning; no one can stop that.
Joy and happiness, though only fleeting, will come.

Keep on living my friends.
There is nothing more you can do.
You need to ride out uncertain times.
And know that is certain that everything changes, given time.

A Confession? Don't really think this as one.

I didn't write this as an confession of anything! That is really not the point.

The poem is more about longing of the soul for stability, safety and happiness. In the times that we live in many have such feelings and not because they themselves have sinned but that the world, for the lack of the better word, is not a nice place most of the time.

I say it is inspirational because in the end we need to keep on living and not give up.

Grab hold to what YOU believe in, it may be Jesus, nature, Buddha or whatever it is just hold on to it with passion! That will bring you pass the uncertain times.

That stronghold you are seeking is not anything on this planet. It is the Eternal Christ.

This was a great confession ... it takes courage to write like this!
