To feel so deeply
the soft falling of life
upon my heart ...
fleeting moments
stealing all my breath.
... but I go on
somehow surviving
despite the exquisite connection
with deep longings
without words to give
definition -
and memories that exist
only in the imprint on my soul.
hushed, hushed ...
like the stillness of
falling snow.
Stillness that allows room
for the purity of all that is.
Lost in beauty
that comes clothed
in pain ...
despair, which promises
light and redemption.
Hope creeps on
silent feet,
unheralded companion
without expectation or need.
There is a wispiness about this, an eerie feeling that permeates this poem with sadness that doesn't quite get removed by reading. I'm so glad when I hear that hope creeps in in the end.
Love the way this progresses.
Ending with ... just when you least expect it....
Lovely gentle poem of the human condition expressed through your eloquent words.
