Aspects of individuality

Sometimes I seek isolation not that I hate companionship or the company of others. It is just that sometimes voices are a clutter so many opinions, words, and worlds they can be too much to handle. Imagine always being surrounded in a sea of thoughts unable to differentiate yours from the others. Being swallowed within the collective to the point that your own voice is unrecognizable to you.
Eventually the idea of inevitability begins to sink in the inevitability of losing yourself. How can one be themselves if they are defined by the company they keep, how can one hope to grow if they never learn to stand on their own. Oh do not mistake my words for harmful slander of friendship or family oh no there is a fine line between bonds that help nurture us to be our true st selves and ones that break us down only to build us up in their image.
An unfortunate link in this dreadful chain pulled through the ground and caked in dirt after having their vision and thoughts distorted. Act the part in this tragedy that must be played, sadly each act is the same simple and true yet the actors change each time. Once again you see new links in this chain and stare in disbelief each the exact same yet you are told they are all unique yet if you were asked to pick one for its distinctness it would be an impossibility.
You know as well as I that there is no difference not anymore their beauty their difference has been stripped away. Robbed from them is their individuality and sense of self in its place one identity has been given and one self, shared among the collective.
Those words are poison they are sinful they are darkness that leaps from the depths of a cowardly soul. You do not believe me that is fine you may ask anyone of us and you will be given the same answer. We offer something far greater than individuality a collective that knows no discrimination for anyone. All are welcome all may share in our strength and our knowledge because we do not selfishly horde our accomplishments we seek no praise only you and you and you.
Do you understand do you hear the whisper of my words, well how about the echoing roar of our thoughts?
Embrace something greater. Discard what is harmful. Become the collective. That is all we ask.
A simple request I see but even these words come from one with a cowardly soul. I have one question a simple inquiry. Within a collective of individuals whose minds have merged in a raging ocean they are but one unit a colossus of thought and activity yes one that dwarfs the mere individual I am. Yet I have to ask what are the goals of a collective to have every single person merge into one unit to lose what it means to be human to lose a sense of self and purpose my ambitions would be discarded for the ambitions of a whole a whole whose only goal is simply to grow greater and greater within its definition of individual.
You ask without question you wonder without thought you seek to understand without knowledge you lie when you say it is a simple request. Because you know there is nothing simple about the collective there is nothing small or insignificant. You are only one while we are a legion of many this will not be a battle this will not be a war you will fall and it will be simple. Or if you wish to live to thrive and to truly understand the collective then the door is open for you to be one with us.
The collective may believe that I lack knowledge but I know when a question has been answered. The collective with all its brilliance and knowledge could not answer my simple inquiry. You see I asked while holding the answer I spoke while already knowing the words I fight while already knowing the outcome. The collective boasts knowledge as vast as the stars yet in truth in reality it is a single drop in an empty well that has long since run out. The collective holds the knowledge of countless but cannot hope to use it if it is to stay one solitary unit.
To access what has been stripped and discarded is to risk that person that solitary beings return to their true self. The collective knows that each link being exact the same is what it boasts as its greatest strength yet that means the collective is well aware that each link being the same can be severed the same way.
Singular being you speak as if this is unknown you speak as if there is fear you speak and hope, pleading for your voice to carry. Maybe we were wrong and you have some knowledge maybe you are unique for the moment but don’t think that the outcome will be any different you are not the first to challenge you are not the first.
I do not plead for my voice to carry because I know the collective has enough ears to here each syllable. I too am aware of the painfully obvious that I am not the first yet you the collective are unaware that I will be the last. You see you believed when my words first rang out that I was talking to you. Better yet remember the words I spoke sometimes I seek isolation now think for a moment.
Isolation…isolation one seeks Isolation from a collective?
A possibility but instead of answering the question myself I will allow my companions to enlighten you. You see because I have created something just as strong as a collective something that holds the vast knowledge of stars yet forgoes the sacrifice of individuality.

A family is born
One large and true
A family is born
From the individuality in
YOU
