Summer NIght Reflections

The hot summer night thick with humidity
Brought the perspiration to his forehead.

He looked out into the darkness
As he sat on his front porch.

He imagined many events in his life
On a make believe screen just out
There in the darkness.

Loves, triumphs, joys, defeats and sorrows,
All rolled by on the projection screen
Of his memory.
