Truth takes its toll
On all who listen
To its chant.
Only they pay
Its fare
Ignoring cost,
For only they dare
To court its price
For the sake of curiosity.
And woe to them -
They know it -
Who spend so recklessly
What they could save
To spend a day at the fair.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
