The moon is waltzing in heaven
With stars that twinkle applause
To the tune of the night loon
With a swing baton in his claws.
A symphony rises from the forest hills
Waterfall keeps the base
While winds play and birds sing brass
The whole night fills
With musical thrills.
Distant thunder's a kettle drum
The mocking birds a lute
Lighting flashes, the symbols clash
And the nightingales a flute.
The wide-eyed owl is a doleful bassoon
Bringing the lyric whippoorwill to croon
His soulful solo of love
To life, the synthesizing lyre
That lifts with song of all desire.
