BODY LANGUAGE
Words are rubber balls
of thought
bounced from the mind
and caught
by the hands
of your ears
or your eyes
A comma is a breath
a full-stop a silence
and a semi-colon a cheeky wink!
A rhyme is a marriage
of two words
which are bestest
of friends
A poem is a picture
of a train of thought -
framed
Language is a smile,
some tears,
your touch
and is understood
by the whole
human race

Well done, Dear Poet! I think kids will enjoy learning from this picturesque write of "Body Language!" ..."catchy" and thought-provoking for the minds of the children in all of us!

and i think I could imagine the 10 yr olds i know being delighted with this........its a fun way of looking at language!!! And its universal to boot!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the way you presented, "Body Language".
It is direct and thoughtful ANNNNND it teaches
life, not just writing. I.E...
"Language is a smile,
some tears,
your touch
and is understood
by the whole
human race"
Words can build up another person and bring
them laughter and joy ... or Words can tear
down a person and bring them heart ache.

Yey, Andy! Nice thought... "Best friends" instead of "soul-mates"... thank you, will change. After all, sadly kids these days probably only know of (rubber) soul mates as condoms (word association with "marriage")!!! First things first, eh?!
