Kate,
This poem really touched a special place in my heart. It isn't about what words we utter, or what words we hear from others; that in particular, because we're all at different levels of development as Christians -- so someone's experience may not necessarely be mine. It is, however, about what we carry in our hearts -- that's the important part.

Thanks so much for posting this. Your words always inspire.

...don't think me brain is functional enough to adequately get a grip of Edwin's comment below! As I say in the title "Worth-ship": What is it we attach worth and value to? Worship isn't all about bowing down - either sincerely or falsely - beneath either a yoke or a consuming passion. It's about what becomes our modus vivendi and modus operandi based on our world-view. Ultimately, I think we will live according to what we truly believe deep down in our hearts. Worship is about what really goes on in those secret parts, rather than any outward display. Just my fumbling response...

Each one of us is unique, and each one of us have our own beliefs; some of us believe in God, and some of us believe in others; but we need not force our own beliefs on others, live and let live. It's a free choice. We mustn't judge others just because of their beliefs. It is wrong to do so.

This brings to mind Edward G. in 'The Ten Commandments'..."Where's your god now Moses!!" Such arcane, antiquated, decietful interpretatons have caused nothing but mass genocide and destruction since their inception. I have seen firsthand many good things..acts of charity, improvements in third world nations sponsored by religious factions, but the corruption and bigotry far outweigh theese deeds. Morals are one thing but almost every religion has, and continues to sponsore horrendous acts of evil against mankind. Who or what organization perpetuates this dogma and the idea that we 'need' to worship anything. This world will continue to exist long after we are gone...Those who prescribe to these lies don't have a magic key to eternity. The earth is NOT square.

Kate, yes humans have a tendency to look the wrong way for everything, and when we have struggles on where we need to place our faith, we usually put it in all the wrong areas. We are caught in a whirlwind of earthly life, where money and power over others rules our world. True enough, we are weak.
Great message for the masses Kate!
