You say I am full of contradictions;
that I am hard to understand.

What do you expect if I am dying?
How am I supposed to behave while being born?

Birthing-pangs and death-throes confuse
as they have no Rules;
the Fine Art of Drowning is not a spectator sport.

A butterfly's true -coloured wings emerge
damply fragile.
Having dissolved their musty covers,
they assume the strength
of hyper-tensile steel.


For you, all this is as interesting
as watching paint dry;

For me, this is the bleeding water-colour
canvas of my life.
My masterpiece.
