Totally blown away yesterday by Nordette's write, "Excuses", and especially grateful for the reminder of the fantastically gorgeous Bonnie Raitt song, "Wherever You May Be", from which the quote comes. Thank yoooou, xx

"Wherever you may be, lift up your head for me"

AURA

A hallowed space:

I am drawn deep
inside the clearest crystal,
multifaceted with

the fullness of a teardrop;
the piercing shaft of a smile;
the luminosity of connection;
the clarity of understanding.

Caught up into
a transparent field of energy
that both transmits
and attracts.

More radiant than
the noon-day sun.

A healing light;
an absence of all darkness;
a place of perfect peace;
a time of blessed communion.

Looking up
it is impossible
to fall down.

Beautiful lines which shine with promise...radiating hope of that which is to come. I love the last stanza, with its wise words to live by. What a world this would be if all of us looked up...

Ah, most metaphorically magnificent and magical Kate,

We Vikings have a place we go when we die, called Valhalla... I believe this piece of joy and soothing brought me close enough to that next world to taste it.

I'm keeping this. I don't have any choice, you see, because when someone touches all the way to the gut, I need to revisit it, being the self-indulgent, but oh, so willing basker that I am in such wondrous words. You've given me spark for the day. (That's beyond what the caffeine does! (smile) You are a poet's poet, m'dear one. Thank YOU for this! katy xox

Good god, Kate, this is magnificent!! I want, no, yearn for exactly what you describe, with stunning imagery, the glowing aura of discovery, harmony and completion, of understanding the Great All. I flew into Nirvana, without regrets, and with a peacefulness of bliss not felt in reality's clutch.

Oh boy oh boy, the last stanza, is a perfect ending to which the poem builds up too.
This is another keeper, and worth printing out.
It sure does inspire.
Very crisp...

I think this is a true inspirational piece...one worthy of being posted up on a wall where all could look up and see it and know that there is hope.
