You have a secret self behind all of your poetry. Instead of trying to delve into your brilliant mind, I just enjoy your words and am in awe of the way you "see" things. I decided years ago to take a good look at myself at 60 and decide if I needed a lift. While I was aging in those twenty years, I became more satisfied with my outward and inward appearance. Besides, Hubby says, absolutely NO, to my looking like a burn victim.

Reading BETWEEN is like listening to twilight whisper a tale of mysteries past and yet to unfold. The reflective quality here is emotionally absorbing and philosophically stimulating. A strongly moving write.

Accepting obstacles vs. tackling them. Some we have to live with, and others? Girlfren' be ready to put up a good fight. Make the rough places smooth, enjoy the beauty of aging with a youthful heart. (Hope I read thru this correctly. . . I KNOW what this feels like . . . the rock and hard place (or is it the chin hairs and forgetting!?) LOL

Kate, time is hiding in your face, but you can't change it, only apply it to your benefit, by remembering it is eternal, and this phase is soon over, before the most important forever one happens. Even if you "lop it off" it changes nothing of what you are or what you're destined for. Take heart Katie Kant, your in good hands;-)Superb writing!

A bow and arrow...true, archery would become a whole lot easier..which reminds me of a most painful archery accident I had years back...well..not the place for such a discussion...LOL...suffice to say, archery is not the best sport choice for busty women, at least not during the learning process. I understand your frustration, Kate, you just have to wish they would do something and be done with it. Instead...well again, not the place for this discussion. This is a fantastic write. You have some very strong images and some great lines in these verses. I really loved this part:

"She does not plead her case
She merely presents facts;
hence she smiles and says nothing"
