that doesn't engage with words,
that has no recourse to eye-contact,
no access to touch of hand or hair?"

Kate, this one makes a resounding thud as it slams against the heart. You've written especially for the heart here with this one. And so delicate and lovely it's pieced together.
Kate, togetherness is knowing there's someone sharing your thoughts and feelings and when you reunite, it's as though you were never away from each other. I truly enjoyed this.
togetherness leads to the presence and bonding strengthened even in the absence of its oneness ... sometimes, i find myself clinging to that conceit ...
Ohhhhh Sweet Kate, the lady spirit of the London Tower must be dating your muse tonight for this is a womanly tale of love and desire that says so much with such minimal words or even physical contact. It is like the lovers once separated are not whole again until the kiss is shared and contact made. Lovely write Sweet Kate...
I feel the energy from long ago searches for that perfect time to return. There are times when the heart loves and longs so deeply that to be fulfilled is a calling for that spirit to return.
I second Jerry's Ab-so-lute-ly! Beautifully penned longing, my (((dear))). Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Ab-sol-lutely!!! That is what it is all about, and it is a tangible and transority thing if it is not meant to be . . . Lonely souls without their mates are wise if they can write a piece of poetical loveliness such as this . . .
