CLAIR VOYANT

Take all the relics
from my shrine:
postcards, feathers, shells.
Lengths of hair and leaves
as well.

Cast them as bread,
a spinning dime,
a good luck charm
to feed the wishing waters.

And when, message
in a bottle, they reappear,
dry them, bake them
in unblinking summer sun.

Press them, bone to bone
between twin peaks
of praying hands.

Then open, let them fly
and dream with eyes wide open.

This is how I leave you.
This is why you come to me
again.

A very interesting view of thought Kate....though the knowledge of clairvoyant visions is a well known reality...it is nice to read thoughts of this viewpoint....the sadness is that we don't use enough of our knowledge and or practice enough to make the real world changes pleading within life....

nice work...

Interesting, Kate! You are using your third eye here, and the poem is like releasing earthly stuff and looking forward to the spiritual, soaring like a dove, like an angel! :-)

This prose is like an offer to love freely and without bonds that often ensnare and trap what once was a wild but loving spirit. The memories that were so painstakingly created in passion and preciousness can all be obliverated quickly when cruelty and distrust takes the stage. As always Sweet Kate, a masterpiece...

...the medium of poetry...you have given water the quality of all you have held close...and in its reflection...you show us reincarnate dreams...to see it all return...again and again. Your words here become charms Kate...a bracelet within beaded hands.

This has a beautiful flow to it. I especially love the first and last three stanzas. (I meant that to say the first stanza and the last three...but really you can take it to mean all six stanzas too...as that would also be the truth.) It has such a light and airy feel...no sadness as she will come back. :~)
