sleeps well on the metaphysical mattress of separate togetherness ...

Mystical, inter and intraconnected, a simultaneous retreat and flowing forth - a universal place - that shared thread; it's all beautifully reflected here in this poem best read aloud, yet softly. There are so many lines to love: "...in our hollows...", "merged unconscious ebbs and flows..." and "coil shell-like, free-fall and drifting." The inner knowing you've brought forth from that other place that you might express it here with such delicacy and grace is simply captivating.
Oooh this grabbed me and didn't let go..awesome arrangement of metaphors, to describe the art of sharing a bed..and beyond into dreams...
Love ur writing, hugzzz dear friend

This is so soothing-I think I'm getting sleepy, lol! Now if only I was snuggled up in bed with my boyfriend, instead of him at home and me here, darn! Well, at least he's close by so I can give him a hug and kiss tomorrow and tell him what your snuggly poem inspired :) As always, your writing is amazing. I also like the form, because at a glance, it resembles two bodies lying close together. Great work, Kate~ Michelle
Kate, the perceptions shared are those we engage in on an interpersonal relationship plane in time and space, jointly and separately -- and you have managed to superbly involve the romantic aspects -- rewarding and rich work my friend -- it is a piece to be enjoyed while sipping hot earl gray or red zinfandel, and at the end, releasing the sigh of satisfaction that comes from enjoyment -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael --
First I had to read this twice and then I finally realized how your poem speaks to me. It is that full life that we all dream of, with that soul mate but always keeping closely our own soul and worth intact even though the two souls belong to one another. To end up facing always outwards into rippling continuums of shared-breath space continues the momentum of this poem's underlying meaning. I can wrap my mind around this poem, but my heart feels your sultry and moving words of rapturous momentum of a continuum of shared breaths...
Very captivating poetry Kate, one of your best!
Peace, love and light,

Your poetry always compels me to read... ...and to read again, Kate. I find myself lost in my own thoughts an incited by your words. Love and best wishes to you,
Kate,

Sleeping together is anecdotal in its scope / Whether metaphorically or stone cold reality, the fact is that sleeping together can cover a lot of territory / I think, most likely, that is why they put blinders on horses / So they can go their own way although coupled together with another horse pulling the same wagon . . . Womb yachting birthing on the high seas, adventures, your next landfall is another week away, Kate...dream passage on uninhabited isles...in quest for pefection an element of the Zen Buddhist's quest for satori...exotic seeking new tastes, smell and sound...white crab-claw sails...Sleeping Together, snug in a cove on a moonlit night, Kate...
Like Shakespeare, you add a word not used before in any of your poetry and this was no exception. Wonderful use of the descriptive English language, which is a hallmark of all your poetry.
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
