I needed to read this today... to have fears washed away. :~) It is comforting to be reminded that we have a "Guardian" who stands ready to do all these things, but we must be willing to allow the presence of our Guardian into our lives... for never will the help be forced upon us. If only I had an easier time of remembering that...

WoW ! I wish I had all of that ! Someone is very lucky to have so dedicated a friend as this conveys. The way this is written is smooth and very comforting from beginning to ending--it is very reassuring and firm. Thanks for this, Kate
Kate, your "Guardian" is human compassion and reaching out to touch hearts weary from monumental loss. Dressed in the softness silk of tender understanding. As fine a concept of "Guardian" as I could possibly imagine my dear friend. May love and peace be always with you. Jon Michael
Gossamer indeed, Kate, gossamer deft touch, this trips lightly, warmly and has a wrap-around feel; not easy to achieve the effortless flow you do, this sings and rocks!

ps: an 'a' before "...soft lullaby" in the 2nd quatrain would spoil the rhythm...reading aloud is the test

This read like a lullaby, soothing and sweet. It is as if you are the Guardian angel of your world. I can see your beauty shine in this poem, with so much love and light that it bounces off the page.
Much peace, love and light, dearest spirit sister,
Amber
Love the verse "With dewdrops of tears and salt breezes of sigh..." touches an old sailors mind. Well written with lovely imagery blended in each line of crisp words.

There are realms of selfless beauty in your heart...a most precious thing. I bet this applies not only to your children, which is what I thought it about first, but also to your husband, friends, pets, onward and outward.
Blessings,
Christine
Incredibly strong and beautifully penned. A love to depend on and nurture. Lovely kate!

What a wonderful piece of poetical verse, Kate. As the comment below me said it is very uncommon. It is also very, very touching. To have a mate such as this is all that a person could ask for in life.

a lovely read, very uncommon these days, because of its lightness of theme and semi-rhyme-scheme.
if i may, a few suggestions:
second stanza - add 'a' to soft lullaby, for better flow, or 'and sing you soft lullubies'; fifth stanza seems midly off the chart with 'forge in iron your hand', for it is really rough for the enounciated character, also the flow isn't smooth.
the narrow-lined six-stanza four-liners are of a really good choice for a light-hearted poem like this, easy to read, gentle and relaxing.

Giving its all, whatever befalls.
Happenstance, for someone with a demoralised angel.
